Born in Abermule to a farming family Ifor Humphreys has farmed all his life, first with his parents at Llwynmadoc and at Upper Bryntalch Farm since 1983. He was an active member of YFC, being Montgomery County Chairman in 1984 and a former Abermule YFC club president. Also NFU county chairman in 2001, a difficult year thanks to foot and mouth disease! Other activities include walking, pantomime, real ale (Monty’s) and Newtown 41 club.
He is married to Eira and has 4 children – Ryan, Delyth, Martha & Tommi. Together with Eira they established the successful Green Lane Burial Field on the farm in 2004.
